About you

Your details as they appear on your NRIC. This will is drafted under Singapore's Wills Act for clients who are not Muslim.

Your family

Used to identify the people in your will. Your will, not this list, decides who inherits.

Marriage normally cancels an earlier will. Naming your fiancé(e) lets this will survive your marriage to them.

Executors and trustees

The person who will carry out your will. Add replacements in order, in case the first cannot act.

Your executor can also be a beneficiary. Choose someone you trust, who is organised and likely to outlive you.

Guardian for young children

You have not marked any child as under 21, so no guardian clause is needed. You can skip this step.

Who should look after your children under 21 if both parents pass away?

Guardian
Alternate guardian (optional)

Specific gifts (optional)

Particular items, sums of money or property you want to go to someone. Everything else goes under your residuary estate in the next step.

If a person receiving a specific gift dies before you, that gift falls back into your residuary estate.

Who receives the rest of your estate

Your "residuary estate" is everything left after debts, expenses and specific gifts.

Nominations and joint assets

These decide which assets pass outside your will.

Schedule of assets (optional)

Listing assets helps your executor find them. Show account numbers by the last 4 digits only.

Funeral wishes and other directions

Witnesses (optional, can be filled in by hand)

Review and download

Please fix anything in red. Items highlighted yellow in the preview are still blank.

Next step: prepare a Memorandum of Wishes to guide your executor and family. Your details carry over.
This generates a draft will. Have it reviewed by a qualified estate planner or lawyer, and sign it before two witnesses present at the same time. A witness, or a witness's spouse, cannot receive anything under the will.
